From 28 September at 6pm to 11 October

We are pleased to invite you to Khandroma, an audio-visual installation by Soundwalk Collective, born from their collaboration with Patti Smith and curated by Massimo Torrigiani.

Khandroma brings together environmental recordings from the remote Buddhist monasteries of Upper Mustang, Nepal, with video, multichannel sound and the voice of Patti Smith. The installation explores wind, breath, chant and landscape as a space for listening, contemplation and transformation.

The exhibition is accompanied by a public programme:

2 October, 7.30 pm — Listening Session: The Gyuto Monks Recordings. Location: Studio 33, Trastevere

5 October, 7.30 pm — Talk with Filippo Lunardo: Who – or What – Is a Khandroma?

11 October, 7.30 am — Meditating Through Listening, guided by Filippo Lunardo
