Supernova is pleased to invite you to the screening of the documentary ‘San Damiano’ introduced by the directors Gregorio Sassoli and Alejandro Cifuentes. Q&A will follow.

Gregorio Sassoli is known as a director and screenwriter. He studied Fine Arts in Film and Television Production at New York University and participated in the films “This must be the place” and “To Rome with love”  

Alejandro Cifuentes has gained experience at the television production company Stand by Me and has collaborated as an author with various online newspapers, including Fondazione Leonardo – Civiltà delle Macchine. From 2018 to 2021 he held the role of junior author at the production company Corima, contributing to the creation of the Forum program

The documentary:
San Damiano is a 2024 film that follows the life of Damian, a 35-year-old homeless Polish man, living in Rome, specifically around Termini Station and in the Roman walls. The film tells his story, his escape from the psychiatric hospital in Wroclaw, his dreams of becoming a singer and his love with Sofia, another homeless woman.
