Supernova is excited to present two short films directed by two Syrian artists ”3350km” by Sara Kontar and “Fatme” by Diala Alhindawi.

This project is curated by Sircle Studio, a platform dedicated to share stories and cultural heritage bequeathed by women. For this encounter Sarah Jade will host the talk alongside Sara Kontar.

About 3350 km
“3350 km” is a short documentary, but also a brief and personal investigation into the Syrian experience and the relationship between exile and homeland, between my father and the director Diala Al hindawi,, the stranger abroad and the stranger within. All that connects us is a choppy sound through which we try to be together.

About “Fatme”
Fatmé, 11 years old, Syrian, lives in Lebanon with her family. Her disheveled hair, dirty clothes, and love for fighting are subjects of discussion among those around her. Her mother wonders: Is she a girl or a boy? To this question, Fatmé responds with laughter, “I just want to be the strongest.”
